Second Light

Second Light is about re-emergence. It is about reconnecting with the part of me that makes music. It is about coping with disease. It is an album and a series of visual works.

The Album

The album was written and recorded in a small cabin on Mt. Hood after a many-year break from music-making. The process felt like picking up where I left off — continuing the journey, but from a new point on the map.

The Artwork

The artwork creates the visual world for the album. The images are created by painting layers of transparent acrylic and custom-cut shapes which are then assembled and photographed, producing a unique sense of depth and immersion. Creating the components of this world — audio and visual — also created a space for peace and healing during a time of deep uncertainty.
